Karen’s Diner Perth: Beaut Burgers With Bad Service!

If you’re sick of the same old burger joints and you’re keen for a new dining experience in Perth, Karen’s Diner is for you. The burgers are great, the cocktails are tasty and the service is hilariously awful!

After becoming a viral sensation on the East Coast, this immersive pop-up diner has opened its doors in Perth. Karen’s Diner is located in Subiaco Mews and is open from 5:30 pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as for lunch and dinner Thursday-Sunday.

As soon as you walk through the doors the fun begins! We had our menus chucked on the floor and were told to go find our table. Our waiter grabbed a seat at our table and scoffed at our ‘basic bitch’ order. The waiters are super sassy and quick-witted – expect some great banter!

Karen’s Diner menu features all the American classics – burgers, loaded fries, jalapeno poppers, onion rings and wings. With names like Karen’s Got Real Beef and The ‘I Want To See The Manager’ Karen, you’re in for a treat. They’ve got vegan and gluten-free options too, so there’s something for everyone.

We had the Firey Karen and the Karen’s American Cousin topped off the most generous serve of jalapeno poppers and loaded cheesy brisket fries – all were amazing!

The cocktails are delicious, we had the Spicy Karen and the City Karen and both were great. Of course, the drinks menu features decadent thick shakes, shooters as well as a few wines and soft drinks.

A $10 ticket will snag you a seat and it’ll be deducted from your bill at the end of the night.

Expect drinks to be slammed down, menus chucked on the floor and a ton of sassy stares. There’s a bit of language and some adult themes so a parent or guardian should accompany kids, and it’s recommended they leave the venue by 6 pm during the week and 5 pm on weekends.

While the rude banter makes the night, there are some house rules: racist, sexist, homophobic or ableist comments will not be tolerated, along with body shaming and sexual harassment – have a bit of fun but don’t take it too far.

Don’t miss the great food and awful Sevice!
